HBIS' overseas business has formed a layout of "four steel companies, two mines and one platform”,which includes DITH (Switzerland), PMC (South Africa), Wheelarra (Australia) , HBIS Serbia, Makstil(Macedonia), DSP(South Africa), KreherSteel (USA) and 22 overseas service centers.
HBIS holds shares in approximately 70 overseas companies, with investment presence in 30 countries and regions, such as U.S., UK, Australia, South Africa, Canada, Singapore, Switzerland and Hong Kong. HBIS has overseas operational assets worth 8.0 billion USD and provides 12,000 jobs abroad.

Outlook
Maintaining the leading position in the internationalization of China's steel industry, HBIS will implement the "1234" strategy, namely: 1 industrial park (China-Serbia industrial park), 2 function clusters (overseas service clusters and new business clusters), 3 core business sectors (resources, manufacturing, trading), 4 service platform (global R&D platform, global marketing platform, global steel manufacturing platform and internationalized talents cultivation platform). By 2025, overseas business will account for 25% of the group consolidated revenue.

PMC South Africa
PMC South Africa, located in Palabora of Limpopo Province, South Africa, is an integrated mining company and biggest copper products supplier in South Africa. The market share of its copper products in the region reaches over 50%. PMC is also a major supplier of magnetite, and serves as the biggest vermiculite supplier exporting to U.S., Asia, Japan, UK and Europe.
After taking over the operation of PMC, Hesteel has strengthened its production operations and planned mid-and-long term development. Hesteel aims to retain market competiveness of PMC for a span longer than 20 years through implementations of Copper phaseⅡdevelopment project, copper smelting rebuild, copper product processing, magnetite selection enhancement(to 100million tons/year), logistic optimization among other projects.

HBIS Serbia Iron & Steel d.o.o. Belgrade, formally known as Zelezara Smederevo d.o.o. was established in 1913 with over 100 years of metallurgy production tradition, as the only one large state-owned steel producer in Serbia. In April 2016, HBIS GROUP actively responded to country’s initiative for joining the One Belt and One Road Initiative, thus accelerating globalization layout activity, and signed a Sales Contract with the Serbian Government for acquisition Smederevo steel plant. Closing date was finalized at the end of June 2016, and successfully registered HBIS GROUP Serbia Iron & Steel d.o.o. Belgrade.
The company's main plant facilities are located in City of Smederevo , 60 km Southeast of the Serbian capital Belgrade. Tinning plant is located in City of Sabac, some 100 km West of Belgrade. HBIS GROUP Serbia Iron & Steel Company has the production capacity of 2.2 million metric tons of iron and steel annually, with 2 industrial loading and unloading ports located on River Danube. Company’s main product line include HRC (also includes sheet), pickled coil, cold rolled coil (also includes sheet), electric tin plate, whereas 80 percent of its products are exported. Future plans for this Company is to become a model project for international cooperation between China and Central and Eastern Europe, and a predominant and most competitive steel producer in Europe’s Balkan region.

Makstil plant was established in 1997, located at the northeast of Skopje, capital of Macedonia, 10km away from the city center, enjoying a convenient transportation both in railway and highway.
This plant is the result of the privatization and restructuring of the previous Skopje plant (which was built and started operation in 1967). After establishment, the plant experienced several equipment and technical upgrades and transformations, obtaining strong market competitiveness. The plant has a capacity of 1.2million tons and employees of 801.
The steel plant passed ISO9001 quality management system certification in 2000. Its structural steel for shipbuilding has passed authentication of USA ABS, UK LR, Germany GL, France BV, Norway DNV, Italy RINA and Croatia CR and Russian RS and is licensed for production. The plant mainly produces plates of various grades as per Europe standard, USA standard, Germany standard, Yugoslavia standard and standards of classification societies.
Its product range includes common structural steel, low-alloy plates, weather-resistance plates, plates for pipeline production, common shipbuilding plates, high-strength shipbuilding plates, and plates for boilers and high-pressure vessels. The size of its finished plate products is 5-150mm thick, 1000-3050mm wide and maximum 16000mm long.
Its products have been sold to countries like Macedonia, Italy, Croatia, Germany, Portugal, UK and so on.

DufercoSteel Processing (PTY) Ltd (South Africa)
The company Duferco Steel Processing (DSP) was established in 1997 with a total investment of 170 million US dollars. In 1999, its facilities were put into operation.
DSP is located in Saldanha Bay, Western Cape, South Africa. Enjoying a very good geographical location, DSP is 6 kilometers away from South Africa's famous deep-water harborSaldanha. Specialized high way is equipped from wharf to the plant. DSP has obvious advantage as a base for exporting.
Main machinery facilities are 1 continuous pickling line, 2 single-stand cold rolling mills, 12 batch annealing furnaces and 1 galvanizing line, producing steel products for construction. The steel plant designs to use 650,000 tons of HRC or pickled coil per year and produce 450,000 tons of full hard coil, 120,000 tons of CRC and 320,000 tons of galvanized coil.Currently, it has 340 employees.
The plant produces products as per European Standard, American Standardand Japanese Standard. Main users cover Africa, USA, Europe, Middle East and Asia.
